UDS Admission Notice for BSc Public Health Nursing Program 2024/2025

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Direct Entry:
    • WASSCE/SSCE Certificate Entry
    • Post NAC/NAP Midwifery (PNNM)
    • Registered Midwifery (Certificate)
  2. Diploma Entry:
    • Registered Community Nursing (RCN)/Registered Public Health Nursing (PHN)
    • Registered General Nursing (RGN)
    • Registered Midwifery (RM)
    • Registered Community Psychiatry Nursing (RCPN)
    • Registered Mental Health Nursing (RMN)
    • Registered Pediatric Nursing (PN)
  3. Foreign Applicants:
    • Diploma holders may be considered for admission.
    • International applicants must show evidence of registration with their home Professional Regulatory Bodies.
    • Applicants from non-English speaking countries must demonstrate English language proficiency.
  4. Work Experience:
    • Diploma/Certificate holders must have at least 2-3 years of post-graduation work experience.
  5. Mode of Delivery: Hybrid

AGGREGATE CUT-OFF POINTS/SUBJECT COMBINATION FOR WASSCE APPLICANTS:

  • Aggregate Cut-Off Points:
    • Science Students: 10
    • Non-Science Students: 9
  • Subject Combination:
    • Three Core (Compulsory) Subjects:
      1. English Language
      2. Mathematics
      3. Integrated Science (Note: Social studies is not accepted as a core subject for calculating the aggregate score)
    • Three Elective Subjects (Choose any three from the following groupings):
      • Science:
        1. Physics
        2. Chemistry
        3. Biology
        4. Elective Mathematics
      • Non-Sciences:
        1. History
        2. Geography
        3. Economics
        4. Government
        5. Literature in English
        6. French
        7. Biology
        8. Physics
        9. Chemistry
        10. Management in Living
        11. Food and Nutrition
        12. Christian Religion
        13. Islamic Religion
        14. General Agricultural Science
        15. Any Ghanaian Language (Dagbani, Twi, Fante, etc.)
