  • The late Kofi Annan served as the seventh Secretary-General of the United Nations, from January 1997 to December 2006. Annan and the UN were the co-recipients of the 2001 Nobel Peace Prize
  • He passed away on 18th AUgust, 2018 in Bern, Switzerland
  • The Late Annan and the University of Development Studies (UDS) paths did cross in 2002

Kofi Annan together with his wife were guest of the Nyankpala Campus in August, 2002.

A special congregation was organized in his honor.
